Support Information
If you wish to file an action for support, you must go to the Domestic Relations Office. The office is located at:

You will be able to file without an attorney at the Domestic Relations Office. The court then schedules a conference before a hearing officer. Financial information including tax returns and pay stubs are obtained from the parties and the hearing officer determines the amount owed and enters an order. If you object to the order, you have 10 days to request a review hearing. The review hearing is generally conducted by an attorney. The review hearing procedure is essentially like starting over and having another conference, and another order is entered. If you still disagree with the results, you can file what is called exceptions to the order and have a hearing on the exceptions before the family law judge.
